Are you using the dragonslayer greataxe? It seems to be a favorite against that boss and dark eater midir. I know the dragon is weak to lightning. I kinda want to say the nameless king himself resists lighting,but it's been so long that I'm not fully certain on the latter.

Goodluck. I had to fight him with a broken controller back when I played. The b button stuck sometimes,so I couldn't roll when I needed,and the left thumb stick constantly drifted left,so the moment I let go,I'd start walking off. Almost lost my sanity,lol.
