Yes and no, Solaris chooses to follow his own path in life and to not let something as destiny stopping him from living his life. He also knows that there are things that happen for a reason as a part of some predetermined fate caused by some higher power.

As a samurai Solaris knows that death is an eventuality, he may be scared of it but he understands that we all die one way or other. He continues to live his life to the fullest with those he loves, and will continue to fight and protect them until the day he finally does die.

It’s your character, you should have the freedom to choose who gets to be with Voxer, who cares if other people like that same character, it’s your character’s story you have that right to choose.
