No, but we have our share of responsibility for Iran being the way it is in 2026. We don’t seem to be able to keep our hands off that entire region of the world for more than a couple years.

I don’t know you, where you went, or what you did. I am talking about hypocritical foreign policy. In Iran, we supported a coup against their government in 1953 in favor of the Shah, who would give us and the UK more favorable oil prices. We are the biggest reason they have that government today.

With all the terrorists and dictators that the United States has supported since 1945, we are a far more prolific exporter of terror and nuclear weapons than Iran could ever hope to be. Let’s not throw stones in a glass house.

But why does America have the right to unilaterally tell a sovereign state what to do about their own defense program? Furthermore, we had an agreement with them. They honored it, we broke it. It would not make sense for them to trust us again. I wouldn’t.

I’m not sure who we are to tell Iran to what degree they are allowed to enrich uranium or whether they are allowed to develop nuclear weapons. Nine countries now have these god awful things but Iran is a step too far?
