Here's the question that I'm putting to every national figure that I talk to: what options do we have to remove Trump from Office given that we can neither impeach him nor remove him via the 25th amendment? How would you recommend that we proceed from here? (So far, no one seems to have a clue.)

I'm doing this. The difference between now and then is that we can comment on what our political representatives say in public. Probably I'm not having a very big effect, but I'm talking to a lot of people, and I think a consensus is slowly rising. So I'm poking various famous people, just to see.

In the Vietnam era it was Eugene McCarthy, and later Bobby Kennedy. Trump's charisma needs to be met by an individual who can inspire Trump's opponents to the same level of effort.

But to answer your question. There are many good efforts underway against Trump. But there is no NATIONAL coordination. This requires an individual or organization that already has a national reputation. Indivisible, for example, could do it. So could any Senator or Governor, or Representative.

Lol. Sorry, not funny. At 77, I'm lucky if I make it to the kitchen to make coffee in the morning. I did my time in the Vietnam thing. There is a long history to autocratic takeovers and how to fight against them. You might try Snyder's book on tyranny. www.amazon.com/Tyranny-Twen...

We have many good leaders in various political situations. What we do not have at the moment, though, is a single national leader who is 100% focused on removing Trump from Office. We are split into smaller groups each with its own agenda. To remove Trump, we will need to unite.

Except, of course, Trump's people are keeping the books. So who knows where their funds are actually coming from.

Greenland, Venezuela, and even Epstein need to be put aside in order to focus on the key issue: the use of the regular army inside the US. If Trump can convince the military to follow illegal orders...! It is not enough to say "they won't"; Minnesota needs ALL of our attention and support.

Schumer and Jeffries need to stay in DC, but their seconds should be in Minneapolis. The second Dem members on the Oversight, Armed Forces, and Intelligence Committees should also be there. They should be in touch with local leaders, talking to people on the ground - all hands on deck.
January 20, 2026 at 11:24 PM
So, Senator, in your opinion, how do we go about stopping them?
January 20, 2026 at 11:23 PM
You gave a good speech; you have been noticed. Trump is the insurrection. WE are the country. We need somebody to stand up and speak TO the country FOR the country. It's a damn tough opportunity. You don't have to take it if you don't want to, but it is there. Sooner or later, someone will lead.

Bannon called it "flooding the zone", but it's just "divide and conquer". Trump has us divided up into little groups each arguing about one of the problems he's created. This keeps us from uniting to deal with the big problem – namely that Trump is using the military to become a real Dictator.

Hard to imagine that it's more significant than a president of the United States using the military to attack citizens in Minnesota. Hard to imagine.

Trump succeeded in Venezuela by using the military. He cannot succeed in either Minnesota or Greenland without the military. The relationship between the president and the military is now the most important thing on the table.
January 20, 2026 at 10:04 PM
So far, the regular army has not been ordered to do anything that any court has found illegal. We need to stay focused on this – but don't give up before it happens.

Minnesota, Senator. Greenland is noise. Europe has it covered. Minnesota is our problem, it's your problem, and you do not seem to be doing anything about it.

What do our patriots who are opposing ICE in Minnesota need? Masks? Drones? Hand warmers? Fireworks? Why can't Indivisible set up a funding site so that we can begin to contribute to the cause in Minnesota?

If only some cable news organization would investigate these tech companies and tell us which ones are which.
