It's true. I don't know how it would have changed the outcome of the election, but the DNC transmitted total deafness to the Palestinian plight when we all could see images of the suffering.

It is hard to discern what "cost her the election" I think she and the party should have sided with human rights and opposed genocide. That would have engaged more voters who were horrified by the Palestinian plight...but may have cost some zionist votes.

...and the absence of a Palestinian voice at the Democratic National Convention soured many on the possibility of Democratic responsiveness to the genocide. They could have at least had a Palestinian on the stage at some point, but instead the SNC signaled de facto continuation of the status quo.

My great grandfather was one of those who literally fought for worker rights and conditions-- an IWW "wobbly" who shot the Pinkertons hired to kill him. He and other workers didn't fight just to give it all back to the rich.

I am so done with Chuck. He spoke at my middle school graduation, and we're from the same neighborhood. But his coziness with financial industries, de fact genocide support and weak leadership disqualify him. I prefer the other US Senate Madison HS graduate from the same neighborhood -- Bernie!

Creating districts that spread out Republican voters, so that they are favored in more districts but by slimmer margins, can actually backfire in a Democratic wave, as there would be fewer truly safe Republican districts.

Part of me is disappointed that Mamdani didn't win by more, given the atrociousness of his principal opponent...and part of me is amazed that he won given the millions of $$ spent on amplifying Islamaphobia and manufactured "anti-Semitism"

I don't entirely agree with you. Insurance is yesterday's issue, but also today and tomorrow's issue. Having said that, it's crazy not to spotlight Trump's economic recklessness and fight back against it in substance and message.
