IRL there's always a backstory to being insane. Just think it's a miss opportunity. Also legit make him like most final boss. Would be better if this boss wasn't the kind to get one shoted.

I think Maruki is a way better villain. One you actually feel someting and is not a Joker ripp off

He never won, btw. That's a big misconception with him. He just left enough people alive to get his ass kicked. Pretty much like a James Bond villain. Nothing interesting. Everything he's done was reverted back. He absolutely done nothing in the end. He sucks.

I think it's a far more complex problem.
You have Shareholders that corpos must satisfy, indie keep getting bought by bigger fish, people have less and less money while games are more expensive. The whole system needs a reform if consumer have any chance of winning. Devs too.
