Re: actually having making comics being a staff job— I think about this a lot. This *43 panel* comic for Hyperallergic that I did interviews, did archival research, read academic articles and attended films for, wrote, edited, thumbnailed, penciled, inked (okay fancy penciled) and lettered… 1/2

A thing I love about oil painting (which I am new to) is that you paint some blobs and then dab at the blobs and suddenly you start to see recognizable forms.
