the way she was constantly talking about opal being Travis's birthstone in interviews and how that relates to opalite but not one word of that in the movie.
it's her mom's favourite stone, and therefore its kinda hers, and it being a stone you could imitate with opalite fascinated her

I really like the production and it’s really funny! But, as a og fan of hers I don’t think is her best work. And I would liked for her to expand more on the thematic of the “dog” and the “control”

Thinking about it more it's interesting to choose a black woman as the patriarchy bc Taylor ™️ is an arm of the patriarchy (football wedding very American) and is a woman. Maybe it's a further critique of the industries and how they exploit the labor of women and POC to make money and gain power

So, Taylor is like the Mariner, a guest at the wedding, and as the bride (or meant to be the bride). They are both innocent but predestined to be sinful or at least carry the sin. So, it’s like Taylor embraces that and goes around spreading it among everyone at the wedding.

But, I want to know all your opinions and interpretations of this song! :)

breaking the fourth wall and getting directly into her trap. The similarities with Dear Reader of bending the truth if is needed, if we actually knew her wouldn’t take her word. The parallels with But Daddy I love him of the expectation put onto her and ironic way of the braking of the wall to

destined to be. Which enters perfectly into comphet, it was pretended, it seemed as the right thing and she was getting trapped again in the pressure and expectations. Of course, as many people have already talked about, it can be interpreted as directed to the fans. Not being authentic with them,

is really similar to Mastermind where she says it wasn’t accidental and it was something she created herself. As well, as in invisible string “isn't it just so pretty to think”, as as tragedy. As something that could have happened but the line or the connection between her and the guy wasn’t real or

ironic and indicating that this statements are not true, emphasized by “do you really”. Besides,TTPD and You’re losing me are a clear example of how she actually didn’t came back to life and how she died because of not being able to love and not being loved back. The charting constellations is

“he brought me back to life” and “chart the constellations in his eyes” as an affirmation and saying something that was obvious… You already knew that I cheated and that things were going down between us. But if we left that perspective aside and go back to Taylor’s perspective the questions become

For example, High Infidelity mentioning a specific night where they bend the truth and met “the guy” that made them cheat, as in Question…? there’s a specific person that they saw to make them suspect of the partner. Similar to betty “I saw you dance with him”. In this case, we can interpret

but realizing that she should have “put up more of a fight” and every relationship being “second-best after” the one. I still think that the song has the characteristic of possibly applying to different moments and versions of Taylor or to other people involved, as in folklore or evermore.

into the expectation that fans and society put onto her “proceeded to play him until I believed it too”. (Comhet probably) The similarities with Question…? are still there. The making fun of and the gender roles, as her not getting into the expectation and thinking that it was the right thing to do

Definitely this is about the expectation put onto Tay and connected to the rain imagery of How to get the girl and loosing “the one” and trying to get them back. And to the “storm” that “board up the windows” of her private life, but also believing and trying to convince herself that she could get
