Well I'm new, so I figure I'll join the trend:

I'm a conservationist who works with lots of wetlands, and has a hobby on the side for photography. I probably won't post a whole bunch, but follow for random photos I guess. Probably mostly plants and animals. Hummingbird photo included for tax.

Snakes and frogs and turtles oh my! 🐸 #herps
A snapping turtle in the middle of a gravel trail in the woods. It has a dark color with some mulch and dirt on it's shell. It is about the size of a large grapefuit. Garter snake basking in the sun on a dirt path. A wood frog sitting on some leaves on the forest floor. An oddity of a snapping turtle (Chelydra serpentina) that crawled onto a construction site to lay her eggs. Despite being a female snapping turtle, she appears more similar to male snapping turtle in size. She has a smooth shell instead of a jagged one and is pictures trying to crawl over a small berm of dirt to return to a nearby pond.

Sometimes, traipsing through the woods means finding forgotten history rather than discovering frogs and bogs.

One very happy seal pulling a banana pose.
Several harbor seals sunbathing on a sandbar. A seal in the middle is in a pose called a 'banana pose' when they curl into a crescent shape similar to a banana. It's eyes are closed and head lifted towards the sun and it looks like it is smiling somewhat.
