They've already teased merch in the PR packages so I think it'll be next week. They'll want to give people some time to digest The Fate of Ophelia's music video before doing something else

I fully agree with you but Taylor Nation has nothing to do with merch except promoting it, Universal takes care of the merch.

They're Taylor's marketing team. I don't think of them as friends but the eye and ears of Taylor on sm. They are the ones who relay the fans reaction if need be.
