It turns out I mainly use this to post cooking pictures so I don't go crazy. Living and working in Japan, 日本語でも大丈夫。
I literally just bought it from Japan (not ebook) but the only seller I could get it sent here by was Amazon. Pretty sure I could have bought ebook too... But I'm not in the UK so who knows if that's useful info

Much nicer than here - had Sanseito pull up and start shouting at my station yesterday.

Yep quick questions: do you have a mouth and can you scream?

Tal your writing is amazing, and as a non-American now I need to find out recreate a version of this to eat. Also wanted to say that the front page of your site still has "her" in the intro to refer to you. Not sure if that's a choice or just another thing to change but just letting you know

Well done Emily

Thanks for that info. So it's a "damned if you do (have insurance), damned if you don't" situation. Utterly inhuman shit piled onto the other shit of making you have to waste time with ineffective medicine too. Sending my solidarity and support from Japan

Sorry for the stupid question, but is that $1600 per month after insurance helps pay for it? And you're paying insurance premiums too? That's not illegal to charge that much?

I had calcification in my shoulders and it was more painful than anything I've experienced, wanted to cut my arms off level of pain, but they looked absolutely normal from the outside, so people couldn't get it either. Sending good thoughts your way!

Singing along to Annie's songs is one of my first memories of gender euphoria. What an awesome artist, had no idea she was so queer when I was a kid

(mostly just being unpolished and anti-consumerist and looking old)

I've got many of these down so far, maybe this will finally be my year

Still in Ibaraki? Meet the bosozoku I guess... Guys like that ride past our neighborhood every Friday night by the hundreds, noisy asses
December 31, 2025 at 6:41 AM
I was honestly surprised there was a queer event there! How do you find out about them, just word of mouth?
December 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM
I'm getting fantasia from the centaurs, and just such great MOVEMENT in them all. Just brilliant and an instant follow
December 29, 2025 at 10:59 AM
Awesome! Ok everyone there will have good ideas too then I'm sure. Hope you have fun!
December 28, 2025 at 10:35 AM
I just assumed that was the reason you're going - it's very big and famous. Picture is related but the red plants may be gone since it's winter now
December 28, 2025 at 10:19 AM
I want to live in this world!
December 28, 2025 at 10:03 AM
Oh and food/drink: seafood is really good (but the best place may be impossible to get to without a car, called 日立お魚センター). Hitachino nest beer is pretty good too
December 28, 2025 at 10:02 AM
Apparently Hitachi station is really nice and you can see the sea from there too, very pretty! Mito is also close but only really good for kairakuen, which is honestly the weakest of the three famous parks in my opinion and not going to be really exciting until plum blossom season
December 28, 2025 at 9:53 AM
Of course you'll go to kaihin koen? It's really good but before you get there from katsuta station, head out the east exit and turn left at the first corner to get to saza coffee. Very good local blend that's famous in other places now too.

I live there! If you want recommendations just yell

In almost 20 years living here I've never understood how I should respond when someone says I'm tall. Yes I am? I realized it actually. I can't say thank you, and saying "oh no I'm not that tall really" would be crazy too

Greek potatoes and hasselback! Learned about them both this year and that's it for me now, converted potato stan
