West aka Christians have ingrained desperation for feeling superior over "the other" ie. heathens, (either morally, racially, religiously, etc whatever they can rationalize).

Which is why they tell their history as "enlightenment" and not colonial thievery, genocides and economy built on slavery.

Twitter algo intentionally promotes things you hate, just so you will comment, try to ratio, etc and drive up engagement.

New Dimensity 9400 announced 2 weeks ago has 2x the GPU TFLOPS of Series S!!!

If only we would get a switch like TV dock to better use all this power.

Finally we are moving from lawmakers and judges having no clue how to use a smartphone to somewhat decent anti trust, anti monopoly and pro consumer tech ecosystem laws, around the world!

Next step is to deploy containers from 3rd party services across clouds for redundancy.

I think if this is achieved, moving around cloud providers would be easier, leading to less lock-ins and more competition.

As a non-american, it is funny how the discourse in 2 party system works.

Very little scope of negotiations or agreement, and mostly the other side thinks/believes this and so I must do the opposite.

It's funny how news outlets, influencers, etc are divided on party lines on such a pointless issue

I live in Asia, and let me tell you

Everyone I know who has PS5, which is not many btw, are those that had a console for over a decade at least.

Consoles are seen as outdated (and most don't play on living room TV), "gaming" phones and strix like laptops are aspirational, even if they cost more

AMD is better choice for gaming with 3D V-Cache chips.

Brooo, just get the number of users working. We can't miss the 10 million milestone.

Rest of the stats can wait.

Bitrate isn't bad. 1800kbps for 720p video is more than enough.

I think the problem is in multi-transcoding, i.e. happens on your phone once and then again on server. Will drop details twice so high bit rates make little difference.

In soviet bluesky users spy on the app devs.
September 8, 2024 at 6:57 PM
That's all irrelevant to end user on ATproto. The product just works and does what you would expect an app from current year to do.

On Mastodon, that's their whole personality in a sense, and anyone not interested in fediverse or protocols will be bombarded with all this info even before signup.

Most popular scripts have no overlap with others. Arabic, Latin, Mandarin and Hindi for example would have zero overlap among characters.

It's just certain Latin-adjacent scripts like Cyrillic and Greek that would need special care like setting locale, avoiding intermixing with english, etc.

Had similar idea, but for video game.

Could be a (final) boss that learns your playstyle throughout the level and then counters it well, so you have to learn or adapt to new strat to make progression.

I think (hope) people will start holding the other side accountable for fear mongering and fake news as well now.

Running every campaign around the world on "this will be the last election"/"constitution is in danger" is bound to create crazy guys pointlessly obsessed with political outcomes.

The word translation implies true to the original, so anything else would be misleading the audience.

Use dub or something else if you want different but interesting thing.

If you ever been near techy people, there has always been hated and mistrust of big tech, even before big tech was a thing.

Telling people to buy PC vs locked down console, evangelizing linux, so many using lemmy/bsky/mastodon, etc

Don't whitewash genuine concern for your political tribalism.

Most are just scripts trying common passwords.

I saw tens of failed tries per hour on cockpit dashboard, switched ssh to any of the 66500 ports other than 22, and haven't had another failed try other than me mistyping password sometimes. (plex svr, so don't need private key)

How does online users correspond to bandwidth traffic?

What is the ratio of peak online user to peak traffic (10k or 100k per gbit bandwidth)?
June 27, 2024 at 5:18 AM
How about initially let people vote moderate?

So if many people report as spam, it gets marked as spam by the default moderation label, etc.

Then maybe we could have systems in place to weed out bad reporting accounts and bots that are never correct to make/keep labeling accurate over time.

Main goal of subreddit design is ability for best content to gain traction, instead of popularity/follower count of poster.

So Idk about crossposting, I guess they function in different ways where users of both sides would be unhappy with getting something they don't want.

Ahem, that's how they did science before capitalist model of invest millions on peer reviewed paper and patents to recover hundreds of millions later.

Massive

3-4 rust implementation projects started last year and you are the only one who made it to the finish line. 👍
