In this case, I managed to get Restock and Pound of Flesh by Dross 2, which meant even though I was Tainted Eve, I could turn into the Lost and buy infinite items. I had Memeber Card too which gives you a special bonus shop with occasionally really good Items but I got unlucky sadly.

HOWEVER, in Downpour/ Dross 2, there's a White Fire which turns you into the Lost until you clear a room. Ordinarily, you use this to access the mirror and get the first knife piece, but since you are technically the Lost in this form, you can perform tricks exclusive to them.

There's an interaction when playing as the Lost/ Tainted Lost where they won't take damage when buying with Pound of Flesh, which means with Restock, you can buy an infinite amount of Items for free. Now since this only works with the Lost, other characters can't do this trick....

So basically

Restock replaces Items you buy in the shops with new ones, allowing you to buy theoretically infinite Items with the correct funds and Pound of Flesh causes shop Items to be paid by taking damage instead of coins.
