This was my primary concern when the nurse asked for our consent. They did explain that it was for transcription and summarization. My wife’s eyes glazed over, but my immediate concern was hallucination and omission of important points.

We took our infant son to see a specialist last year, and during check-in they asked if we consented to the doctors using AI tools, which I very quickly noped out of.
We learned few doctors at this hospital were using the tools, but I think many would miss this. At least they asked.
