Tens of millions of voters (including those who chose not to vote) have sent a very clear message to politicians that it is OK to do what he did, and they might even be rewarded for it. AND they punished the politicians who tried to do the right thing. There is no fixing that.

IMHO Every take that absolves -- as it were -- the majority of eligible voters of what is happening is utter nonsense and I ignore it. Trump was abundantly clear about his intents. He was President before and proved it! It is reasonable to believe what we have is precisely what the voters wanted.
