As I said, masks protect those that aren’t sick from people that are when sick people wear them. It’s easy to extend this to saying that everyone must wear one to stop colds dead. But they aren’t perfect like that anyway, I doubt anything would be eradicated by everyone wearing masks

While I’m okay with conceding this point, I think it’s dangerous to use the same perimeters for truth (personal witness) that have been used by the right for more nefarious purposes. People can come to wild conclusions based on personal experience. This one isn’t that controversial or dangerous tho

Trump winning was dangerous. I don’t really fault people for fear mongering in favour of getting rid of Trump. I still think rich people get richer and can survive easier in the US, so that’s probably why they won’t leave though

Just cause you got sick with a mask on doesn’t mean you’ve proved its ineffectiveness.

During COVID symptomless passing was really common so, getting the public to wear masks was just to make sure that if you got COVID accidentally, there would be less of an opportunity to transmit. Masks aren’t foolproof

Masks are designed to protect OTHERS from YOUR sickness. It’s the people that get sick, don’t wear them, and then mill around in public that cause the sickness. If you’re not sick, there’s not much point in wearing a mask, and wearing one won’t do much to help you not get something (1)

It costs money to leave! There’s no economy that gives most of the working class that kinda mula right now, and in the US the rich just get richer, so why would they leave?
