I also would like money. Musicians are quite known for not having money. Composition of music is a particularly unrewarding task, financially speaking. Asking me for money is a fairly pointless exercise.

I get so frustrated with all these political types who go on talk shows and say something like “trump, you know, the self centred buffoon who ignores laws and court orders, the guy who constantly says he wants another term, can’t get it because of the constitution. Which he routinely ignores.”

I do like it. If it’s any consolation though, definitely not all leaders. The previous … shitstain … got a lot of people killed and nearly all of us unnecessarily locked down because he failed to Covid seriously on a bunch of occasions.

Can I make a suggestion? Afro-Peruvian Classics: The Soul of Black Peru was published in 1995, compiled by David Byrne from Talking Heads. It’s a collection of songs in the tradition of the people who had been slaves in Peru, you might call it the Peruvian version of the blues.

You need voting systems that are better able to include everyone. I look at those stories that appear every US election, incredibly long lines on a workday, voter roll purges, plus of course the lack of ranked choice voting… it’s a wonder that the Dems ever get in at all.

I have this grand plan to make a series of YouTube videos about playing good drum fills. I developed a system years ago, very early in my teaching career. Most of my students don’t even know that there’s more than one part to the system, because just the first part gives so many possibilities.

Happily (in relation to your comment anyway), this happened in Australia. Likely our own home grown xenophobes will fabricate all sorts of nonsense about him, but ICE will not be involved.

We had a public mass shooting in Sydney in October of this year. Some guy was shooting at people on George’s River Road in Croydon (Croydon Park?). Happily nobody died as a result of him, but 18 people were injured, one seriously.
