They're such a waste of time tbh. I'd rather have done my quest cape earlier and finished a bunch of other shit before I got them. I had 99 crafting, thieving and fletching before I had a fire cape. Horrid priorities.

It was supposed to be mine when I made this account but between breaks from the game and getting distracted by other content I ended up with 7 99s before the cape. 🤭

I got her and finished the quest. My issue was not respecting the tentacles and the sanity. I was so confused as to why I'd suddenly die. Ty for the tips though. It's nice to have people chime in and try to help 🙏

Also, completely forgot about the assassin mechanic. Went back to the GE and quest helper tried to warn me but I just glanced at it. Thought he would be waiting for me there. Geared up and he jumped my ass at the Varrok altar. Had to run around til teleblock wore off.

I didn't look at any of the promo stuff, didn't participate in any betas. Just went in blind and was really impressed how good it felt to sail and a game that can regularly feel clunky.

No Jagex you don't understand I NEED salvaging to be an EHP method. I NEED to get to 99 sailing while doing nothing. I NEED to afk my way to 99 in a month. NO JAGEX it's not fair the SWEATS got it. JAGEX I NEED IT.

After verifying on the wiki itself this is actually quest helper doing this. The wiki doesn't recommend a max cape. Egg on my chin I guess.

I just assumed they'd busted a ton of bots or something. I'm genuinely so clueless in this game. Things just happen and I'm like, "okay we're doing this now."
