“With Love, Meghan” is fascinating especially from a DEI perspective.

I watched (for the first time) The Two Popes then Conclave back to back. 2Popes is totally one of my new fave movies!

I attempted to create an AI character for my Society of 23, but it didn’t really make sense. I will try again! I’m so excited about AI technology. I haven’t been this excited since I got a digital point and shoot camera back in the day.

Anyone familiar with Creative Capital’s grant application for visual art who could provide some insight? I’d love to chat ❤️ TIA as they say!

Friend: What would you put on your tombstone?

Me: Definitely third person. Something to share how awesome I am in history.

Friend: So your CV?

Me: Yes

😂

I’m really interested in this “Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets” because I created my own secret brotherhood, and also because declassified documents can still be heavily censored.

The Grammy’s might not be important to some, but it does help me consider music I wouldn’t otherwise hear. Last year I was introduced to jazz-inspired pop singer Laufey. This year it’s the New Age album Triveni by Chandrika Krishamoorthy Tandon, Eru Matsumoto, and Wouter Kellerman.

Post-Grammy thought: I used to love keeping up with mainstream American music but I definitely lost that interest around the time Spotify came out (which was when I graduated from grad school) because I could just listen to *exactly* what I wanted to. I still love the radio, though!

I like Chappell Roan! I just got nervous seeing her wearing Degas. I’ve also been watching too much Law & Order SVU.

Watching a bunch of YouTube tutorial videos. I love this time of year because everything is about “setting the stage” for things to come.

Thinking back to when “Facets”went up at the airport — seeing it suspended in all its glory after assembling it in my basement studio was surreal. Getting messages from friends who see it when they travel is such a treat.

What’s a public artwork that’s stuck with you?

Just started Silo, a “dystopian future where a community exists in a giant underground silo”. Took until episode 3 for an actor of Asian ethnicity to speak. Also, teen heartthrob Zack Morris is part-Asian, so what do I *really* know.

Sunday morning musing: All Creatures Great and Small is a feel good series on PBS that is also the animal version of Law & Order: SVU.

Joining Bluesky was great! Composing my sophomore “tweet” has been agony. “Tweet”? “Post”? Google AI confirms “post” and also “skeet” 😂❤️
