"We are not a pandemic, we are not a disease. We are people," one resident said. Until we fund housing, healthcare, and harm reduction instead of police and sweeps, we'll keep pushing people into the margins and blaming them for being there. That should not be controversial.

Meanwhile, I learned @miskoaki.bsky.social (Yellowhead Institute) stopped tracking progress on the 94 TRC calls to action last year because, as they said, there are only so many annual reports you can write about lack of progress. (Of the 94, 12-13 are considered complete a decade in)
