Your hair is looking amazing.

This is terrible advice. Flour is incredibly messy. You should at least wait until you get to the bathroom.

It's nice adults telling stories and playing pretend and making toys out of scraps and kind of the antithesis of Cocomelon and stuff practically built to annihilate attention spans.

ABC has a Play School stream. I wish they had 80s episodes, tbh. Benita is the GOAT.

I sent you baby pictures instead

I'm self-conscious about my appearance even when I'm not dealing with a thirteen-month-old who's cutting FOUR TEETH SIMULTANEOUSLY

Oh I'm so on your side. People think white can't clash and they are WRONG it SO CAN.

And then they really overlook the power of brown. "Brown is so dowdy, brown is boring" - BROWN ACTUALLY LOOKS GREAT SOMETIMES

It is absolutely revolting.

Some of them just... burn with the fires of a hatred I have never felt for anyone and don't want to.

One of Australia's worst people was saying they had to go harder on culture wars after that strategy resulted in an absolute electoral bloodbath. We already said no!

I really appreciated when they tried to pull this in Australia that the terf candidate was up against Zali Steggall, former Olympian, and there was no real comeback available when she dismissed it as a distraction from real issues.

Punishing "the wicked" is an alarming start point. That's mushy to define.

The US failed to punish the "flagrant violators of constitutional law" which is rather more clear-cut

It's so frustrating when people ignore history.

The first run in office was the Beerhall Putsch. People were saying it, I KNOW they were, people were pointing out that AFTER THAT THEY COME BACK MORE ORGANISED

Back in the day when my mother was an anti-Apartheid protestor, her job was to be a petite white girl from a Nice Family who could be the one to stand in front of the police knowing they couldn't do anything to her but make empty threats.

"I am your PR nightmare" is a part to play too

Thank you. I will return your kindness and e-mail you more baby pictures

I have no idea who that is and I don't care.

I'm just going to note that he looks like the villain from an 80s movie who will say something comically evil about mass-murdering the little people right before he falls into his own circular saw trap

Americans really need to embrace the power of millions of people saying, with one voice: "Yeah, nah, fuck that"
February 5, 2025 at 5:36 AM
After how long all this has been going people who want to call themselves progressive might by now have figured out that it would be really easy to save EVERYONE if you'd just protect the most vulnerable.

Save the queer disabled Black women, save the world

That's all from this morning.

Shoutout to past family members' experience with palliative care too though! A special "may you die in anguish and torment" to the nurse who told a man who said he didn't want to die that that was what he was there to do so he should get used to the idea.
February 5, 2025 at 5:10 AM
"Remember, there's plenty of asinine questions available to prolong this experience! For example, you could try asking the anguished human who is desperate not to be feeling death's slow creep in agonising detail whether they're anxious. Because that's super relevant here!"
February 5, 2025 at 5:10 AM
"Having finished the slowest and most repetitive conversation ever, asking ridiculously redundant questions and huffily insisting that you can't assist the patient's death (no-one asked you to), the decision for sedation has been made. Don't forget to wait a couple of hours before administering it!"
