Why is it exciting to find a Northwestern Pond Turtle in the wild? 🐢As an indicator species, the tell us how healthy their watery ecosystems are. Due to habitat loss, poor water quality, and the introduction of predators, the more we find in our waterways the healthier the ecosystem is.

Our work is more urgent than ever. One project we’re excited about is Osprey Hill Ranch: a 365-acre ranch north of Bodega Bay that could connect 22,000 acres from the Jenner Headlands to the redwoods of Monte Rio. Donate now to help protect this remarkable landscape. ow.ly/zu2f50XmfTv

Fall’s raptor migration is in full flight! Unlike most birds, raptors soar by day making this migration one we can actually see. The Jenner Headlands is one of the best places in Sonoma County to witness it. Join a Hawkwatch by signing up for one of our outings or check out westcountyhawkwatch.com
