Is it just me, or does it seem like most of the people crying that they want "English speakers only" in the country would they themselves fail an English literacy test, thereby eliminating themselves from being able to stay here, should their wish come true?

Bought a new pre-lit tree last year (couldn't find one that wasn't pre-lit) and the lights are on the fritz already. This is why I wish buildings allowed real trees. It's better for the environment overall than tossing gigantic plastic trees in the garbage all the time.

Good news: groceries and Christmas gifts incoming!! Got a letter for a credit increase today. In a good place to accept it with little worry, as things were looking up until hefty car repairs. Just need this little extra to get by the next few weeks.

If I am ever fortunate enough to move to a better place... 1.5 bathrooms (at least!!!) is going to be a non-negotiable.
I am tired of needing to badly go, and someone is hogging the bathroom for an hour. My pizza had too much cheese, and that's on me for eating it, but.. there wasn't anything else.

Update: Whewwww had just enough. It didn't take them the projected time, so it ended up costing less, fixed another thing, AND did the MVI so we don't need to go back to the Place of Headaches.

Found a place that could do the last repair today. Now I just need to do my least favourite thing: call my mother or inlaws and see if they can lend me a few hundred, as this is estimated to be just over a thousand, and I'm a wee bit short. Wish me luck, friends! 😬

After pouring 6K into fixing the car, and weeks of tracking down places that would actually do said repairs, car failed inspection again and they say we need to do another hefty repair first. They also tried to say we needed to fix stuff we've already done, but backpedaled that one when called out.

I feel like $30 for photos with Santa is criminal. It's what the bigger malls in my area are charging. Thankfully, the smaller malls out here are only charging $5, and donating the funds to good causes. Not sure if the bigger malls are donating any.

Weird. Bluesky is literally the only app that works for me atm. Can't access websites, can't send texts, can't connect phone calls.
Internet also not working on PC for most sites. Though Google seems fine, until I click anything.

I've injured my finger and it hurts to type (so slooooow to keyboard peck to compensate ahhhhh), so I may be quiet until it heals 🙃

Having one of those days where even thinking of doing little things sparks the feelings of anxiety and dread. Chronic pain isn't helping. I've done nothing but try to get comfortable and watch documentaries today.
