Ultimately, this is all subjective. People will place more value on certain aspects like problematic framing of serious issues in their judgments and that's okay as long as it's not hurting anyone. Once people (especially hardcore Danganronpa fans) finally drill this into their skulls, maybe people will stop trying to attack each other for worthless shit like strangers' opinions about a video game online.

I like the Zero Escape games because I enjoy the puzzle solving (even if some of them are bullshit) and I love the branching routes in 999. The random trivia the characters pull out is funny, I like the character interactions. Story is not always the primary factor for people's opinions abt smth

Are there Zero Escape fans who hate Danganronpa? Yes. Are there Danganronpa fans who hate Zero Escape? Also yes (but maybe not as vocal). Surprise surprise people are human beings that prefer different things and their own merits, and maybe just maybe bias plays into that for both parties. Who cares

Really, my main issue with the game from just the first two levels excluding the tutorial is how this mechanic absolutely abolishes exploring the level and mapping out your options, so every level walking and :looking around" is just DON'T GET NEAR THE GUARDS- Oh, they're shooting that's a restart

Oh yeah and not to mention some of the bugs and glitches the game has that lowkey ruins a lot of levels. Overall still had a fun time though, and I'm sure the game was great for its time
