When fam was gathered during the summer, we went to the local brew pub. They had a pub quiz while we were there & I am just petty enough that our fam team beating the team of a woman I graduated HS with was an incredibly sweet victory for me. This woman *knows* who I am & always pretends she doesn't

If you count Usenet groups as social media (and I don't know why you wouldn't), I have been to the UK twice because of social media and have been friends for >30 years now with people I met online that I'd otherwise have never known.

If you don't believe in the existence of a god, that is your business, but there is no difference between you telling believers they're wrong to believe and believers prosyletizing their faith (which many faiths - including Judaism - do not do, by the way).

Cheryl, atheists like you are the reason a lot of people don't like atheists - including some other atheists. Saying "It's all designed to enslave the mind" is as disrespectful to people with faith as it is for someone of faith to say that belief is required in order to be a good human.
