We have been intellectually colonized, occupied and the government has adopted the Neo-n@zist policies. There's inequality, racism, homophobia in such a way that many of my friends are terrified of walking outside all alone. Greece is not only ancient myths or summer vibes.

I keep telling myself I've been there. I can get out of this again. I wrote a whole poetry book about this feeling. But sometimes, I feel so guilty for not trying enough, not being the perfect daughter, feeling just empty after meeting with them. And this shouldn't happen with families.

We are not our trauma but trauma can bind us so easily if we're triggered.

1Our minds can be the worst places to be in if we live with mental health conditions. As a neurodivergent person and a survivor of emotional ab#se, my mind's power to frighten me so much and even hinder me from every day life terrifies me.
