i will watch the video but since this concept is in my "psyche-destroying list" i will understandably have the video hidden behind my hands and across the room so i dont really have to watch the video directly.

if youre able to chew put a live cockroach into your mouth, chew it to a sufficient degree, and then spit it out, then i'll have infinite respect for you. also by cockroach i mean like an american cockroach, the length of your thumb and 1/3 as wide. not one of those puny baby pipsqueak cockroaches.

i don't actually believe you on the cockroach thing. the next time you see a cockroach you should do this. and before you say, there's no reason not to. if you're worried about germs or stuff then dont swallow the cockroach guts and brush your teeth after. if its easy this shouldnt be a problem.

- that both of these things I imagined are things that a sizeable portion of the world does normally. Another thing you could add to my list is maybe "killing a cute animal with your hands", though even more people around the world do that on a regular basis. So maybe my list isn't very insightful.

the more into the phd process i go, the more i understand why no phd person wants you to call them "dr.". like this is just another job. i work the same amount as everyone else does, i just chose a different job than them. its not fair to call me a special name.

im seeing people draw like murals of this lab director and calling him a hero and God's gift to man ohhhhh you dont know how the scientific process works ouuhhhhhhh stop praising the director praise the entire lab oughhhhh

i should say this opinion only applies to people involved in the scientific process. i think openai definitely directly or indirectly killed that engineer who left the company, thats a case where an individual's actions could have definitely had a larger impact on the company.

- that that exact thing happens. just murders is far fetched because theres no point in it. this is my opinion.
January 30, 2026 at 4:34 PM
- just dont believe the healthcare industry has any motivation to kill individuals for finding advances to health problems. it makes much more sense for them to lobby behind the scenes to strip their labs of funding, preventing them from pursuing advances on a systemic level. and we know for sure -

- american nuclear physics person dying a few months ago, like it might have been a murder by the government i guess, but theres no way the government expected that to delay the scientific progress in the slightest even if it was. the papers will just be resumed and published regardless. so i -
