UBC law student, living with #LongCovid #MECFS. Youth climate movement alum. She/her. Vancouver B.C. - MST territory.
It's been an absolute privilege getting to work with the West Coast team this summer 💙
The West Coast office has been buzzing with the addition of five summer law students to our team. They've been building their environmental and Indigenous law skills by working closely with our experts on live issues in BC and Canada. Check out what they had to say about their time with us!

PM Carney is bringing a U.S.-style attack on refugee rights to Canada.

Under Bill C-2, people who are rightfully refugees under international law will be denied protection if they apply more than a year after they first entered Canada.

At Kerrisdale today, they were sending those of us with mobility aids to an alternate entrance with multiple stairs (!!!)

My friend with invisible chronic health challenges wasn't offered the opportunity to use the priority access line.

It's been 2yrs since @thetyee.ca published my #LongCovid essay. I've been so grateful to see improvements in my health, thanks to accessing a doctor with expertise. But my return to law school (p/t) has only underscored how little we learned from the pandemic about enabling remote & flexible access

On the heels of the big climate win at Vancouver City Hall keeping gas out of new buildings, I gifted my mum this beautiful heat pump water colour by @nicolekelner.bsky.social for her bday. It’s a hit and proudly up on our kitchen. Check out Kelner’s work for some sweet nerdy climate art!

NYT columnist @zey.bsky.social has written about PLRC & how we've made some of the best #LongCovid research possible, despite being a small group of chronically ill people.

She's very kindly chosen us as this year's nonprofit to donate to, and we're deeply honored!

Feels like a good time for a thread about all things exercise for people living with infection (and exposure)-associated complex chronic illnesses (IACCs) such as #MECFS, #LongCOVID and chronic #Lyme /tick- and vector-borne illness. Let’s start with a trip down memory lane.
