1. ⁠Sanctuary State for Trans Youth-he signed SB‑107, which went into effect on January 1, 2023. It made California the first “trans sanctuary” state, protecting access to gender-affirming care for minors even if it’s banned elsewhere and blocking enforcement of out-of-state restrictions.

Let’s not act like he hasn’t been one of the most supportive governors to trans people in the country. Some of his record below. He was also marrying gay people in San Francisco before it was legal so this isn’t new for him.
