I still have the same reaction to USAID now that I had when I heard about their demise. It was an organisation dedicated to infantilising and destabilising the Global South with a veneer of saviorism as a cover.

It was a plaster not a cure - the Global South needs a cure.

I don't think the potential demise of the BBC is a leftist boon, to me it is a decline of an institution that is no longer fit for purpose. Maybe, it needs to die because it pandering to the right has caused a lot of damage and they can't even acknowledge that.

I don't know - I'm a Black Brit and the racism and xenophobia has been through the roof in recent years.

People are itching to harm me and other marginalised people. I'm a bit despondent.
