This could look like listening to your favorite music, taking a walk, just being outside, focusing on your breathing. I’ve found that talking to plants soothes my nervous system lately as I’ve been tending to seedlings I’m growing inside during the winter months.⁠

The key is to recognize what has happened and make the choice not to stay there. When we’re activated, we can’t make choices from a grounded place. We act based on survival. So cultivating practices that bring you back to center, that help you find a sliver of safety for your nervous system to rest.

Keeping that in mind, it’s important this week to stay present and attend to what is within your control. There is a lot swirling, a lot shifting, and a lot of absolutely heinous acts by the current administration happening. This can activate our nervous systems.

Mars Retrograde can mean that we feel less motivated and also have less physical energy. This can be frustrating for so many, but its important to remember that periods of rest and slowing down are vital to our well being.
