I'd have several different pen sizes. I work with .05mm up to .5mm. Smaller sizes help with more delicate areas, shaping the line, or adding detail without being too dark

Things I keep in mind while working is distance and shadow. Areas that are closer or overlapping, I tend to give a thicker line
