Brave New World is my fave Iron Maiden album and one of my tops of all time, but The Wicker Man is the weakest track. Had they used the US radio version of it I wouldn't be saying this.

LGBT politics mattered little on exit polls and remain unimportant to most voters. A significant majority vote based solely on the economy and that is the same for most elections. People care about how expensive it is to live, and unfortunately most of those people only care about their own expenses

It's been a year since mom passed. We weren't close, but it still hurts and is probably part of why I have overburdened myself with work and other distractions.

I've mentioned it before, but in her final weeks she finally started calling me by my name. Whatever her reasons, I cherish that memory.

I spent late night and early morning at the ER for myself this time. Broken tooth decided it was time to kill me. Got home at 5am, slept for 3hrs until needing to give Hans his meds, bathed and dried him for his vet appt at 11am, then work from 430pm-1am.

Please, anything helps, I'm exhausted.

My little man isn't getting better. He may have to be kept overnight a few days to make sure he's hydrated and eating right, and I'm working on selling anything I own not essential to survival to get him what he needs. Already sold my bass today for half its worth.

This burnout has extended into my personal streams, as I have felt less and less like playing games in general lately. I need to take time to remember how to enjoy gaming again. Streams may be a little weird and casual for a while when I feel like going live.

I realized recently that I am suffering burnout from pushing to volunteer for so many events the past couple years. One event remains for 2025, but the break has started.

Sorry to keep spamming this. I heard back from the ER. Hans almost certainly has FIP, Feline Infectious Peritonitis. It's a serious and often fatal disease, but is treatable. I'm picking him up soon, he'll be on a treatment plan for 84 days.
