Orson Welles, Leonard Nimoy, Robert Stack, and Weird Al? Yes, they all voiced characters in The Transformers movie in 86. The soundtrack is amazing. Yes, I know Boogie Nights made fun of the song The Touch by Stan Bush. Dare is amazing, and the cover of theme song by Lion is great.

Interstellar is back in front of packed houses for imax shows this week. The soundtrack continues to amaze me everytime. This listen is the organ booming into space. Make sure you are up on your Morse Code as the sides only use code to show the playing order.

Wow. This Motown album from the film Foxy Brown is stunning. They don't make chase music or main themes songs like this anymore Left the sleeve on to promote local owner who sold this. Album came from Voice of America radio vault. Link has story of historic radio signal.

When I think of David Lynch and Dune, I go straight to the namd TOTO. Rosanna and Africa just make me think Sci fi. Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois (U2 producer and good songwriter himself ) add the Prophecy piece. Good soundtrack and strong score.

Oh, the cliche of the short haired girl who dresses odd and plays the drums. A strong soundtrack of good music From little known bands.

So life and health have taken up a large portion of my year. I know this little offering I. The grand scheme of things is not much, but I want to share what I love. I'll post again and share actual shots of the vinyl instead of stock photos. Just my little side of music that I enjoy.
Today's pick

Soundtrack of the week is a classic but with a caveat. I never understood why soundtracks would not put all the songs on an album. Particularly this being a double album. The most famous scene uses The Cars "Moving in Stereo", which is absent. However, the missing song does not diminish the album.

Soundtrack this week is a nice collection of late 80s hip hop. While the Ice T main title song got a lot of play, the seven minute Remix of Paid in Full by Erik B. & Rakim is a standout.

Didn't get around to physical media last week. I could put a Criterion disc up pretty much every week. Went to with the Criterion War of the Worlds this week. Feature looks stunning and great features. Main highlight is the original 1938 recording of Orson Welles radio broadcast.

Soundtrack of the week is a great piece of the 80s. The Lost Boys soundtrack offers a great mix of 80s metal. The Echo and the Bunnymen "People are Strange " cover is a highlight. But "Cry Little Sister" is the clear winner.

Another DVD set for the week. The directors cut version of movies are hit and miss. The version on Kingdom of Heaven is a tonally different and a fully realized film. Had heard the directors cut was better and that is correct.

Soundtrack of the week is the underrated classic Josie and the Pussycats. A vinyl release came out a few years ago. Two of the best made for movie bands ever.

"DuJour means family"

Physical media of the week. This dvd was referenced recently on @blankcheck.bsky.social podcast. The Panic Room Special Edition 3 dvd set from 2004 is a product that made me like the feature more. The incredible making of offers an insight and upped the enjoyment factor as I watched the movie again.

I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with this account, so I decided to talk about things I like. Will start with Soundtrack of the Week. I collect vinyl and get odd looks from store owners when I ask about soundtracks. I work in theaters still and combine my interests.
