I've owned this "ornamental" egg for years. When I joined Twitter I used a photo to replace the generic egg shaped "no profile picture up yet" nag. 14 years later I took another photo of it hanging in our sunroom, cobweb and dust covered for Bluesky. Symbolic, somehow!

Just gone over the Rangitata River on the Intercity and seen the rail bridge still being worked on. The rails to the south have been rusty from disuse all the way up.

2 minutes later, overheard on phone, Do you still want a mannequin? One has just arrived.
Rapid assembly job later - She says yes please!
