It has not been this cold, on New Year's Eve, across the mainland... in 25 YEARS.

Tomorrow... it finally happens again. Temperatures in the 40s on New Year's Eve across the mainland.

Today was the last warm day. We will experience a strong cold front approaching later tonight into tomorrow, resulting in a much cooler New Year's Eve and Day ahead.

We're not even hitting 70 on the last day of 2025 and the first day of 2026 for many.

We have a SERIOUS cold front coming this week that'll dip our temps into the 50s at night, starting Tuesday night with some folks in the upper 40s Wednesday night into New Year's Day morning.

No, this is not an early April Fool's Day prank. This is real.

Its going to be so windy across the mainland later today that @nws.noaa.gov Miami has issued a Wind Advisory for coastal areas from 6 a.m. this morning until 7 p.m. later tonight.

Sustained winds of 15-20 mph are expected with wind gusts up to 35 mph at times.

If you happen to drive to Alligator Alley later this morning (on the Broward side), be cautious. There is a possibility of dense fog in the inland areas of Southwest Florida.

The fog should break off by morning.

A note on #Melissa...

It was the strongest (185 mph), deadliest (102 deaths), and costliest ($10 billion USD in estimates as of now) hurricane of the year.

Come next year, when new names are released for 2026, the name #Melissa will be retired for good.

Day 182: Nothing.

Its over. Its finally over. After 182 days (like every year), the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season comes to a close in less than an hour.

We do this all over again in June. Good riddance!

Happy Thanksgiving!

While its not ideal to get rain today, on all days, its badly needed!

This is the first time we've seen rain across the mainland in weeks!

Another dry day is in store for South Florida today as we keep our dry season in place.

However, be aware of foggy conditions in our backyard, especially in inland areas such as the Western portions of Miami-Dade, Broward, and along Alligator Alley.
