The typical tropes are there, just like in any book from this genre, but the way the author handles them and shapes her own world is sooo pleasant to read. I went into it expecting YA slop, but the more I read, the more I see the care and love the author has poured in. It’s an awesome universe!

I wish I would’ve done this 24 chapters ago…but alas…onward!! Xaden not diminishing her and instead trying to support her growth gives me foresight to what their relationship will blossom into. I haven’t read YA in a long time, so this dynamic is refreshing. They truly see each other as equals.
