I would love to believe in a future where night sky legislation was not only ubiquitous, but actually enforced. Residential flood lights are a menace.

True. True. I know the story was never about the women. It’s probably a sign of how far we’ve come that the almost total absence of female characters stood out.

The first hour is simply stunning cinema, but I could have done without the 45 minute sentimental bludgeoning at the end.
And the women are little more than props, which, as a woman, was a bummer.
But it’s gorgeous. Visually delicious. The DP and production designer outdid themselves.
