Went to the interview and the first thing the manager said to me was that the position I applied for (maintenance) has already been filled, but that I can apply as a fry cook for either opening or closing shift.

I didn't get the job, but they did at least say that they were going to keep my resume on file so not all hope is lost. Still... would have been nice if I did. I'm going to have to keep looking, I suppose.

I applied at my local grocery store this Tuesday, and the day after, they contacted me about conducting an interview. I even managed to get a good word in from one of the employees there. Fingers crossed that I get the job.
