Basically, yeah, this is true. Same thing where if you pay a musician $10 on cashapp and then pirate their entire discography, you're still paying them more than Spotify would for the same amount of music.
Some streamer talked ages ago about giving 5$ directly to the stream would be more actual money then having every youtube video he's made just running on repeat all year would give him.

I’ll leave my twitter up so I don’t have to get rid of my art but I’m gonna be so real the AI stuff on top of Twitter being genuinely unpleasant between the catty cliquishness of fandoms that keeps getting pushed to my FYP and the actual horrible people infesting its user base I don’t enjoy there

Never go on the discover feed! Finding a nice custom feed you like is very good though - the Mutuals feed is especially useful for keeping up with friends

For further context twitter added a button that allows users to generate ai images using existing art posts from artists. It removes glaze and it basically reskins the artwork by using the existing work as a base. Twitter is no longer a safe space for art
