It's like they're trying to cause an LGBT exodus. I know many people don't feel strongly on LGBT legislation, but all of these new laws look like they just had the bare minimum thought put into them, which as an outsider, reflects poorly on their ability to manage the law.

"Police" and "corruption," name a more iconic duo. This literally only gives the creeps in law enforcement more power. It's like politicians are living under a rock, thinking nobody would abuse this power.

This legislation just opens the door for a malevolent actor to respond to the backlash with "Well, if XYZ can do it, so can ABC!" and weaponize it to vilify any marginalized group of people they want. This is a very slippery slope that was a mistake to implement at all.

If they wanted to be helpful to people (like me) who need help understanding how sexual orientation is defined with transgender identities, they should have at least made phrases or prefixes to include transgender people. Without it, I can't see this as anything other than attempted trans erasure.
