reconstructing everything i made with gamemaker in godot has been surprisingly fast, all things considered - really thrilled with the progress so far, i'm already significantly farther along in some aspects than i was with gamemaker, back when i was trying to make a 3D game with it

2025 has been a very exhausting year of burnout, depression, and emotional rollercoasters for me, and the one thing i wish for the new year is just... peace. a quiet, comfortable, gentle thing that sits kindly in the chest, and doesnt wish for the end upon waking each day. that's all i can hope for.

i cant say when exactly the game and site will be done - since i am sorta just one computer guy coding/modeling/composing/etc all of this by myself - but i cant wait to show you all once it is finished. thank you all so much for sticking around through the years while i've worked on this <3

im looking forward to people being able to meet and talk with all these characters in the game segments, and learn more about them and the world through interacting with it - every time i sit down to code and playtest i feel really happy inside knowing others will play and enjoy it too, someday

e.g. having proper antennae on all the oculus entities instead of just sol and terrus, and having the shell segments be more consistent between them, really fixed a lot of the frustrating aesthetic balance issues with the geos specifically. same with consistency between modes/sparkus, omi/vym, etc

primarily that's just been because of my artistic improvements and changes over the years, but also me realizing which design elements worked and which elements were kinda needlessly complicated (especially in terms of 3D modeling the characters) as well as creating more consistency between designs

lots of progress being made! finished drawing the outdoor pixel tiles and some of the indoor ones, have music and sound effects, lots of grid-style environments ive built in blockbench, etc! [ ^]

currently players still freeze indefinitely if they fall off the side of the island though OTL
