How do we measure smartness? Throwing them in the air?

Vacuum decay leading to the absence of all skeets maybe. I think we're safe for now unless physics change

I'm sticking to my art deco chamber, thanks

Do not leave your cube for another cube. Just wait and you or your descendants will be able to escape eventually

You can drink it as a latte and add syrup if you want. (Vanilla or lavender are great).

I'm impressed with your ability to sound like a fortune cookie. Thanks, tuna

But a nice lavender matcha latte adds joy as the second coffee of the day

Some criteria is not the same as SS eligibility. This is a circular argument. Why don't you continue it on your own

We could have fewer than three thumbs
November 20, 2024 at 1:32 PM
I did not miss that statement, which is why I stated that you are incorrect. You are still incorrect. People are not eligible to collect SS until they are 62 (or meet disability requirements). That is not a requirement for survivor benefits for children.

Or now we're just on one giant discussion thread, forever
November 20, 2024 at 11:59 AM
No, you are incorrect. You must have worked for ten years. In some cases, you need only have worked for 1.5 years in the 3 years prior to your death.

I would suggest you understand what you're arguing for or against before doing so.
November 20, 2024 at 12:29 AM
If you die before you're eligible, there are still survivor benefits for spouses and remaining parents of children if you've met work requirements. Anything they don't get goes to another retiree, not the government.

I'm not advocating for or against any particular investment strategy, but funds like ss and older style db pensions assume lower growth and invest in high quality, low risk assets for a reason. Hell, even insurance companies are required to keep a majority of their claims reserves in similar funds.

Tap their name, tap the 3 dots, select block account

Like the info sheets they make you sign before getting them? Make up better propaganda please.
November 17, 2024 at 4:18 AM
That relies on riskier investments in the market, which could also lose you everything in the event of a market crash. The ss fund takes less risk, which makes less but has lower risk of loss.

The ss fund is also meant to be only a backstop. It is serving its purpose.
