Reality check:

The majority of games are temporarily offline until they’re rated.

But the sudden, massive takedown has fueled panic and distrust, especially since players don’t know which games will return or when.

Social media is in uproar. On Reddit, wild (and unverified) claims include:

• “8 billion games deleted”
• “Groomer-made games still up”
• “Escape Diddy’s Basement still up”
• “The purge leaves only 18+ games playable”

Creator’s games aren’t permanently banned, but they must fill out a questionnaire to get their game rated. Once approved, it goes back live.

If creators don’t act, games with 1,000+ visits will be added to a staff review queue. Smaller games risk vanishing indefinitely.

This stems from Roblox’s Aug partnership with the International Age Rating Coalition (IARC).

👉 Every experience must now have a formal age label.
👉 Before, players 13+ could self-confirm to access unrated titles.
👉 Now: No rating, no play.

🚨 Roblox just pulled a Pornhub-style purge!

On Sept 30th, Roblox began removing all unrated games from its platform.

If your game doesn’t have an official age rating, it’s gone until further notice.
