It’s fascinating that deregulation, rather than regulation, has come to dominate public discourse. At what point do they stifle the growth of technology sectors, and where do they safeguard progress? Most importantly, amidst all the debate, are citizens genuinely protected in the end?
World leaders aren't worried that artificial intelligence will make humanity extinct or be misused by terrorists.

They seemed much more concerned about not winning the global AI race when they met at the AI Action Summit in Paris this week.

I believe that open societies, which provide opportunities for social and economic advancement for all, are destined for prosperity and progress. In contrast, societies that retreat into introversion, seek victims, and view others as enemies are not merely at risk of decline—they are already in it.

Even the best among us, when granted power, must be met with vigilance and scrutiny. Sadly, human nature harbors the potential for corruption and wrongdoing. This is why I place my trust only in democracy— with full accountability, institutional oversight, and the active participation of the people.
