I share these thoughts bc if I got to meet an artist I care about, I might be haunted by either of these scenarios... feeling like my parents had made me offensive by association, or that they misrepresented my identity. all of it could feel like it messed up my special moment

2. I take the pronouns/names/terms your parents use for *you* with a huge grain of salt. sometimes they're like "my daughter" and I'm like "sure"
