On Saturday, October 25, Spark Central gets spooooky for a fun-filled day of creative learning and trick-or-treating! Make a batch of monstrous slime, craft some critters and ghouls, write a story on our haunted typewriter, and more! Costumes welcome, but not required. Free. 1-5pm.

Kids in our LEGO Storytelling camp worked together in small groups to design, build, and program their own robots. They made maps and wrote stories to tell as the robots moved across the maps.

Minecraft Club has returned to Spark Central! Each Thursday from 4pm to 6pm, kids can drop in to explore architecture, engineering, and art through collaborative Minecraft projects. Last week, participants learned about beaver ecology and built their own habitats, dams, and lodges. 🦫

Poet and essayist Cody Smith will be at #SparkCentral this Friday, May 23, for EWU’s Visiting Writers Series! His first book of poems, Gulf, was the co-winner of the Summerlee Book Prize, and his second book, River Hymnal, was published in February. The program begins at 7:30pm.

Students in our after school program, Level Up, created cyanotypes with a photoreactive process. They learned about the chemical reaction between the cyanotype solution, light, and water before they found materials and made their own unique works of art.
