Doesn’t seem likely that Geoffrey Berman would have participated in covering up a murder.

Does the DOJ press release program automatically insert the day of the week (Friday vs Saturday) corresponding to the numeric date? it’s one thing to mess up the calendar date but another to think today is Friday rather than Saturday.

Sounds like Bezos generated some A.I. slop to cover up his mendacity.

The theme is horrific abuse of a child by powerful men. Your post gives me significant pause about your reliability.

The fact that every ICE concentration camp has identical, horrific conditions is the legacy of America’s historical acceptance of inhumane jails and prisons.

Sen. Warren’s wealth tax would be challenged on constitutional grounds (despite being an excellent idea) and, y’know, SCOTUS. But eliminating tax-free borrowing by billionaires as their substitute for taxable income would be a good first step.

People need to familiarize themselves with the Federal Contested Election Act and then think about how Republicans will use it to block the seating of successful Democratic House candidates.

And don’t forget that when Congress votes to seat a member it is a non-justiciable act.

People need to familiarize themselves with the Federal Contested Election Act. Republicans are likely to contest multiple Democratic midterm victories on the House floor.

Hey Chuck: Remember when you fled the Senate chambers and hid for hours on that January day? Well that’s what Americans and our fellow immigrants are doing for months at a time because of ICE and Border Patrol.

Get your sh*t together or get the hell out of our way.

“I wonder what your dominant emotion is when you read these news articles” is a terrible question from a reporter but perfect for NPR.

Trump isn’t going to succeed at rigging the election but he very well might succeed at rigging the *vote count* and SCOTUS cases.

Believing that our institutions and historical norms will independently protect us from the completion of the fascist takeover is exactly what Trump hopes we do.

“Calm, disciplined care” is a great thing until the fascist goons start pepper spraying children and murdering peaceful observers.
