And it’s this exactly, I have no issue whatsoever of politicians getting grilled, that’s the whole idea. But it needs to be regardless of who holds the reins be it Tory, Labour or god help us reform.

If he can’t stand the heat he should get out of politics. No one with such a thin skin should be in politics. No matter what your policies you will be annoying a large part of the population. You need to be able to take questions without throwing a hissy fit!

If the bbc were still putting that stuff out or scheduling it he may have a point. If he had owned this and apologised it would be over now. His base don’t care about it as many of them hold similar views
