A job ad from a local listserv: Seeking a Renaissance-style classical tutor with an internationally oriented/European origin for a ten-year-old boy from Prague living in Providence. Opportunity to become a learning mentor for a super cool and precocious 10-year-old boy who lives on the east side a few minutes from campus. Someone with a background or interest in any or all of the following areas or things that are similar: classics, foreign languages, history, philosophy, religious studies, theology, art history, literature, music, cinema, poetry. Potential opportunity to also live in our attic studio as well.

Started watching the revival seasons of The X-Files over the weekend. The update to the dystopian present of a few years ago makes them somehow seem even more dated than the original. Extremely grating.
